# How to Make It:
- Cream butter and brown sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Add molasses and egg, mixing thoroughly. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, ground ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend dry ingredients into wet until a uniform dough forms. Divide dough, flatten into discs, wrap in plastic, and chill at least 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Using house templates or cookie cutters, cut panels for walls, roofs, and doors. Transfer to parchment-lined baking sheets. Bake 12 to 15 minutes until firm. Cool completely on wire racks.
- Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until foamy. Gradually add sifted powdered sugar while beating until stiff peaks form. Transfer icing to a piping bag for assembly.
- Place all gingerbread pieces, candies, and decorations on a large serving board or platter. Provide bowls of royal icing and piping bags or small spatulas for easy application.
- Invite guests to construct and embellish their own gingerbread houses using supplied pieces, icing, and candy decorations.
- Sprinkle shredded coconut over the board for a snowy effect. Optionally, add fresh berries for color contrast.
- Use the gingerbread house board as a festive centerpiece and edible treat for holiday gatherings.
